When Rodrigo was a rising M4 looking at away rotations, he was excited to learn that some programs offer stipends to URM students. He had trouble finding a central, up-to-date place to explore these opportunities. So he made one himself. He's a big believer in paying it forward, and that's the spirit behind the FARMS Database. Rodrigo is now an ob/gyn resident at the University of North Carolina with interests in gynecologic surgery, health equity, and medical education.

The FARMS Database was founded by Rodrigo Muñoz, MD and is maintained by the Medical Student Pride Alliance (MSPA). The MSPA is an activist and social organization committed to empowering sexual and gender minority medical students and allies, increasing the number of physicians trained in LGBTQ-inclusive healthcare, and addressing the unique needs of queer communities through research, advocacy, education, and service.
